I etching my image onto a CD and hand pressed it with a pocket press. I created a frame using reclaimed glass and wood. 6.5" x 6.75". Ready to hang.

Pants Press Framed Etching

This etching was colored using a monoprint plate. Based on machines I found outside the dry cleaners back in Denton, Texas, I pressed this in 2009 and built the frame in 2025 using reclaimed wood. Instead of glass, this frame uses plastic. About 6" x 9" and ready to hang.

Morning Glory Cards – Hand Pressed Set of 4 – California Natives

Each card is unique, pressed with a leaf from my Island Morning Glory vine. This is the first in a series of cards that highlights California native plants. Your cards will be slightly different than those pictured, as these are made to order and every plant leaf is a unique work of art. Some may have signs of caterpillar snacking.

Hand pressed book of climate action still lifes

I created this series of 20 hand printed books of etchings titled Climate Action Still Lifes for the exhibit, Taking it to the Next Degree: Rising action to meet rising heat, drought and wildfire. The show was exhibited at both Avenue 50 Studio and El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument, sponsored by Avenue 50 Studio, US Forest Service, LA Center for Urban Natural Resources Sustainability, and the City of LA.

Each book has 5 total hand press prints, and every book is a little different, as each is pocket pressed by hand. To learn more about the pocket press, see the menu tab. The cover is a linocut, which is more like a stamp, and inside, are hand pressed etchings. These images were scratched into plexi glass, inked, and pressed onto each individual page. Each page features a still life drawings related to meeting rising heat and drought. It’s like a zine that uses art methods as its copying technique.
